Shirley O. Corriher, a perfectionist cookbook author with a scientific bent, is four years late finishing her new book on baking. Why? "For the last two years, she has been stuck on the cake chapter."

I can't say I'm surprised. Corriher's book, _Cookwise_, is THE best cookbook I have ever seen or cooked from . . . and I'm one of those people with many, many cookbooks. Can't wait till she solves the cake chapter and I can buy Bake Wise!

Also must say I love Corriher's appearances on my favorite foodtv show Alton Brown's 'Good Eats'.
