You may have heard that there's a new recording of the classic 1984 Band Aid charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" But you won't find it on iTunes -- Apple refuses to carry the single because the charity wants to charge too much money for it.

I'd like to think the fact that this embarrassing 2.0 version in no way improves on the original and should be misremembered by everyone concerned ASAP also might've played a part in their decision-making.

It truely is a terrible song. At least twenty years ago it meant something to the performers and the African people.

Now I think the artists' motives are slightly less than pure and I don't think the African people care if it's Christmas or not.
