Boston vs. Nirvana [168K MP3] summarizes two elements of the tripartite medley I used to hum incessantly in the fall of 1991, to the dismay of my college roommates. (The third part was the main piano riff from "Louie Louie".)

I had some friends in college who played in a joke band called Jay Cheddar and The Cheesetones, and they did loungey, mashed-together versions of pop songs. "Smells Like a Feeling" was one such song.
