Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Not bad, and thankfully less than two hours long. Quite a lot of explosion-and-car-crash porn, but at least all of it seems to be happening more or less for a reason. (The story, on the other hand, doesn't make a lot of sense if you bother to think about the details.) James Cameron doesn't get enough credit; this movie is generally much better off when it's not evoking memories of how smart and sharp Cameron's first two were. Still, the filmmakers made some interesting choices that even Cameron might not have been bold enough to try, and I have to applaud any time a sequel that chooses not to play it safe and predictable slips out of Hollywood.
